The largest Louis Vuitton store in the United States is located at the main entrance to The Crystals, the retail component of City Center in Las Vegas. Gertler & Wente worked directly with Louis Vuitton in Paris and New York to design the exterior skin and interior store of the Daniel Libeskind-designed complex, as well as with MGM to get design approvals and meet a tight opening schedule. As the first Louis Vuitton store in Las Vegas to face Las Vegas Boulevard (the “Strip”), the design includes a 90-foot-tall custom stainless-steel façade with integrated LED lighting effects that, after sundown, transform the store into a shimmering spectacle. The 30,000-square-foot retail area is divided into three levels, connected by a grand staircase, and includes individually-designed spaces for Fine Jewelry, Luggage, Men’s and Women’s Ready-to-Wear, and Leather Goods.
