A Singapore-based dinnerware manufacturer and exporter selected this five-story commercial building located in the heart of the giftware district to be their base of operations for U.S. distribution.
The building had been neglected for the last twenty-five years and required extensive renovation, including roof and window replacement, limestone sandblasting, brick re-pointing, copper restoration, new elevator, new mechanical and electrical systems, etc. In addition,
Gertler & Wente Architects designed a new building lobby, storefront, three floors of showrooms (basement, first and second) and prepared the upper three floors for leasing purposes.
