State-of-the-art technology, surgical precision and manipulation of light are paramount to the procedures performed by Dr. Mark Speaker, a corneal surgeon specializing in laser vision correction. His new office environment was designed with a palette of materials which embody and reflect these attributes. A frosted glass wall, within a precisely machined stainless steel frame separates the business from waiting areas, while allowing a glowing transmission of light. The warmth of European beech woodwork contrasts sharply with the stainless steel and glass, while the generously upholstered waiting room seating and table lamps add a residential flavor. A sub-waiting area accommodates a short wait between various segments of the examination process without returning to the main waiting room.
