Tulsa, OK

A large energy corporation invited Gertler & Wente Architects to submit a design proposal for their new headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The program included approximately 500,000 GSF of offices and support spaces, along with parking for 1,500 cars.

The architectural design sought to respect and respond to the unique context of the neighborhood’s nineteenth-century warehouses and its developing arts community through scale, program, materials and active engagement of the public park across the street. The design of the interior provided a variety of program amenities on the lower floors to support the headquarters’ workplace. The office floors, located on the upper six levels, are divided into neighborhood quadrants with an activity-based furniture layout to promote flexibility and industry innovation.
